Bridges Transitional Housing
The YWCA’s Bridges Transitional Housing was originally designed for single women. Our transitional housing program acts as a bridge between permanent housing and our homeless shelter for women. The YWCA is currently seeing an increased need for emergency housing. In order to accommodate and acknowledge the need, The YWCA of Wenatchee Valley is working to build more homeless housing for women and families. Our Current housing program is available for single women and families for up to 24 months. Residents need to be able to remain sober, provide their own self-care and perform household duties. Residents must be interested in participating in programs to help reach self sufficiency, be able to set and work on goals and be willing to follow guidelines of our program. Above all, residents must be able to participate in a mutually respectful and supportive environment.
"I was encouraged to set goals and strive to achieve things I thought would never be possible. Now I have my own apartment and financially participate in my housing. I'm building a new relationship with my children. I am going to college and I have hope! The ywca saved my life!" Bridges Housing Tenant
